What is WishlistSuite?
WishlistSuite allows customers to save products to a wishlist so they can purchase them later. It helps increase return visits, customer engagement, and conversions.
How does WishlistSuite work?
Customers can click the wishlist icon on product or collection pages to save items. Saved products can be accessed later from their wishlist page or icon.
Does WishlistSuite work with all Shopify themes?
WishlistSuite is compatible with all Shopify 2.0 themes and most vintage and legacy themes. If your theme has heavy customizations, our team can assist with placement adjustments.
Does the app affect store speed?
No. WishlistSuite is built using lightweight scripts and Shopify’s native app blocks, ensuring minimal performance impact.
Does it work on mobile?

Is there a free plan?
WishlistSuite doesn't have a permanently free tier. Every plan includes a 30-day free trial with no credit card required — full access, no feature restrictions. Merchants who see their first price drop alert convert a sale within the trial window have concrete ROI before paying anything
When are Omnisend and Shopify Flow launching?
Both are actively in development and coming soon. You can follow progress and vote on the launch timeline via our public roadmap at wishlistsuite.canny.io. Merchants will be notified as soon as they go live.
How does the Recommendation Engine work?
WishlistSuite uses a co-occurrence model — it analyses which products customers save together across your store and surfaces the most relevant ones on each customer's wishlist page. V1 shows up to 4 recommendations with a bestseller fallback. V2 adds recency boost and CTR analytics. V3 adds full per-customer personalisation.
Does it work with Shopify 2.0 themes?
Yes — WishlistSuite is built specifically for Shopify Online Store 2.0. Installation is via Theme Customizer App Embeds with no code editing required. The wishlist button is fully responsive and inherits your theme's styling by default.
Can I switch plans at any time?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle. If you downgrade below a feature you're actively using (e.g. Klaviyo), that feature pauses until you upgrade — your data is fully preserved.
Is wishlist data GDPR compliant?
Yes. Wishlist data is stored securely and linked to customer accounts when logged in. Guest wishlist data uses local browser storage, synced to a customer account on login. WishlistSuite follows Shopify's data handling guidelines and is fully GDPR compliant.
What happens to my data if I uninstall?
Your wishlist data is retained for 30 days after uninstall. Reinstall within that window and all data is restored automatically. After 30 days, data is permanently deleted. We recommend exporting a CSV backup before uninstalling if you want to retain it long-term.
What’s the difference between native emails and ESP emails?
Native emails are sent through WishlistSuite's own infrastructure — useful if you don't yet have a connected ESP. ESP emails are triggered by WishlistSuite but delivered through your connected Klaviyo or Mailchimp account. ESP sends are unlimited on higher plans — your ESP handles the volume, WishlistSuite handles the trigger logic.

Installation and Setup

How do I install WishlistSuite?
To install WishlistSuite:
  • Install the app from the Shopify App Store.
  • Go to your Theme Customizer and enable the App Embed for WishlistSuite.
  • Once enabled, the wishlist functionality will be live on your storefront.
Do I need to add an App Block?
Yes. WishlistSuite uses Shopify App Blocks to position the wishlist button on the product page. You can also add custom CSS and JS to customize the button based on your requirements.
Can I choose where the wishlist icon appears?
Yes. You can position the icon using the floating icon or adjust placement via the Launch Point option in the Settings page. You can also add custom CSS and JS from the Wishlist Floating Icon Embed.
Do I need coding knowledge?
No coding is required for standard setup. Most customizations can be done from the Settings page in the app. Advanced custom positioning may require minor theme adjustments, and our team can assist.

Wishlist Behavior

Can guest users create a wishlist?
Yes. Guests can save products. However, wishlist persistence across devices requires customer login.
Are wishlists saved after logout?
If the customer is logged in, their wishlist is saved to their account and accessible anytime they log back in.
Can customers share their wishlist?
As long as the app embed is enabled, both existing and guest customers can share their wishlist via a public link.
Can customers add product variants to their wishlist?
Yes. WishlistSuite supports saving specific product variants (for example, size or color). The selected variant will be visible properly in the wishlist.
What happens if a product goes out of stock?
The product remains in the wishlist, but customers see the updated availability status. The out-of-stock product will not be added to cart.

Customization

Can I customize the wishlist icon?
Yes. You can change icon style, size, color, and placement to match your brand. This can be done from the Settings page in the app.
Can I edit wishlist text labels?
Yes. All major labels (for example, Add to Wishlist and My Wishlist) can be customized from the Settings page in the app.
Can I translate WishlistSuite?
No, translations are not supported yet. This is something we are considering for future updates.

Customer Data and Sync

Where is wishlist data stored?
Wishlist data is stored securely and linked to the customer account when logged in.
Is wishlist data synced across devices?
Yes. Wishlist data is synced across devices if the customer is logged in to their account.
  • When a customer is logged in, their wishlist is linked to their Shopify customer account. They can save a product on one device and see it later on another device.
  • For guest users, the wishlist is stored locally in the browser. It is device-specific and does not sync across devices.

Compatibility

Does WishlistSuite work with cart drawers?
Yes. WishlistSuite is designed to work with both traditional cart pages and modern cart drawer (side cart) setups.
  • If your theme uses a heavily customized cart drawer, minor adjustments may be required and our team can assist.

Analytics

Does WishlistSuite provide analytics?
Yes. WishlistSuite includes built-in analytics to help you understand customer behavior and product demand. Visit the Analytics page in the app to view detailed information about wishlists, customers, and products.
